Mama Bear is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider in Brisbane and Redcliffe, offering respite, short-term accommodation, emergency care accommodation, holidays, or a weekend getaway. Rest and relaxation are important for everyone, especially NDIS participants.
The health of carers is equally important as the person supported. That’s why we provide respite care that allows carers of people with NDIS participants to have some time off to refresh and recharge.
Mama Bear Home Care offers respite care at Redcliffe, Queensland, set right on Queens Beach on one of the most prestigious esplanades in Redcliffe. This open plan beachfront unit presents the most breathtaking views of Moreton Bay & Islands and has no road separating the apartment from those views. Wake up each morning to the sound of lapping waves, seabirds & uninhibited views of sparkling sunshine on the Bay & boats sailing by.
Mama Bear Home Care team of experienced and caring male and female support workers support the participants who use our respite services to live their lives to the fullest during the time they are with us. We can accommodate your needs.
We offer a range of activities such as:
- Independent Skills Training
- Baking
- Swimming in the pool
- Swimming at the beach
- Only a 10-minute walk to Redcliffe CBD via the beach, or, 15 minutes to Scarborough
- Local Music
- Cinema
- Arts and crafts
- Yoga,
- Assistant with mobility exercises in the gym
- Integrate to the community by walking to the local Redcliffe market.
- Sunset walks
- Rooftop pool, gym, and BBQ area
- There is a cafe located just a 5-minute walk from the unit.
- Local shops/services at Midway are just a short 5-minute stroll, as is public transport if required
- Sit down and chill with inside entertainment, Netflix, Disney tv, Foxtel, Prime video, and Kayo
Each participant’s experience is based on an agreed plan with them and their family.
The unit is not suitable for wheelchair participants as it doesn’t have a lift.
